Akshay gets mobbed by girls in nightclub

Female fans tore up Akshay Kumar's jacket in their excitement to get photographs clicked with him

Bollywood's Akshay Kumar was mobbed by girls who wanted to get some clicks with him. The actor's female fans tore up his classic retro golden jacket in their haste to share the same frame with him.

The girls did manage to get their clicks but the jostled star had to bid his jacket goodbye for the rest of the night.

The actor showed up as a DJ, to play his favourite songs from the 1970s as part of the promotional campaign for his upcoming movie Action Replayy.

"The moment Akshay entered the club, there was a roar among the people present at the place... there was this bunch of young girls who insisted on clicking pictures with him but the photo session went a bit out of control and Akshay's jacket got torn in a place," Vipul Shah, producer-director of the movie, said in a statement to the media.

Akshay, however, laughed the incident off and was seen without his jacket throughout the remaining night. Also present with him were co-actor Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shah.
