Pregnancy - 21 weeks.

21 Weeks Pregnant

You may soon feel like your baby's practising martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into fully fledged kicks and nudges. As your pregnancy progresses, you may be able to decipher a pattern to his activity. Some babies are restless in the evening, just as you're trying to fall asleep; others get busy during the daytime. Your baby may be trying out different facial expressions around now, although his eyelids still remain closed.

Pregnancy - 20 weeks

20 Weeks Pregnant

By now you can probably feel your baby move around. Enjoy it - those butterfly flutters are one of the true joys of pregnancy. She's also giving her new digestive system a little practice by swallowing amniotic fluid, from which she absorbs nutrients and water. The unabsorbed matter continues into her bowel where it concentrates into meconium, the greenish black or light brown substance she'll pass the first few days after she's born.

Pregnancy - 19 weeks

19 Weeks Pregnant

Congratulations! You've hit the halfway mark in your pregnancy. You'll start growing even more rapidly in the weeks to come, so don't be surprised if you find yourself slowing down. If you feel the urge to indulge in an afternoon nap, go for it, if you can - you and your baby deserve it. Her hearing is developing, and she'll be getting used to the sound of your voice. Tiny teeth are also forming in her gums.

Pregnancy - 18 weeks

18 weeks pregnant

Your baby is twice as big as he was last month but he still weighs only about 190g. Meanwhile, most of the weight you've gained is from amniotic fluid, placenta, and water retention. Although things may seem calm on the surface, your little one is kicking, flexing, reaching, rolling, and even sucking his thumb now. If you haven't felt him move yet, you will in the next few weeks. His hearing is now functioning and he will be listening to your heartbeat.

Pregnancy - 17 weeks

17 Weeks Pregnant

You may be gaining weight rapidly at this point, even if you're not eating much. Experts say that the amount of weight you put on during pregnancy is dictated primarily by your genes, so don't necessarily blame yourself if the weight's accumulating faster than you'd like. Your baby's movements are felt as a gentle, fluttering sensation at first, but get stronger and more obvious as time passes. Some babies kick vigorously and often, others are quieter. And many seem most active at night!

Pregnancy - 16 weeks

16 Weeks Pregnant

Your baby's about the size of an avocado now but in the next three weeks, he'll go through a tremendous growth spurt - doubling his weight and increasing his length. In the meantime, he'll be playing with his umbilical cord and practising breathing. You're going through a bit of a growth spurt yourself. Your uterus has expanded so much that the ligaments in your abdomen are stretching to make room for it. If you feel any twinges of pain now, that's why.

Pregnancy - 15 weeks

15 Weeks Pregnant

Starting this week, any stomach rumblings you feel may be your baby trying out some acrobatics, since she can now move all her limbs. Anxious to know whether she's really a she or actually a he? Your baby's external genitals are probably developed enough by now that an ultrasound technician could make a good guess at the sex. An amniocentesis is often recommended at this stage of pregnancy for women over 35 and those who have a family history of birth abnormalities. It is also a test which can tell you for certain whether you're expecting a girl or a boy... if you want to know.

Pregnancy - 14 weeks.

14 Weeks Pregnant

Your baby is now growing his first hairs. Of course, family genes offer some clues as to the colour and texture, but many parents have been surprised at delivery. Fine body hair called lanugo, which usually disappears later in pregnancy, blankets his body now, too. Your own hair may also be more lustrous. Many women say that thicker, fuller hair is one of the nicest perks of pregnancy. Enjoy it while you can.

Pregnancy - 13 weeks.

13 Weeks Pregnant

If you could hold your baby's hand this week, you'd notice the swirling lines that make up his unique fingerprints. You'd also see the veins and vital organs beneath his tissue-thin skin. He's growing... Is your long-lost energy making a comeback? For other women, the discomforts last a while longer yet. Every pregnancyis individual - even women who have been pregnant before find that the second or third are different.

Pregnancy - 12 weeks.

12 Weeks Pregnant

Welcome to your second trimester! Your raging hormones could be calming down a bit and you may also notice your nausea tapering off. Most women happily wave goodbye to morning sickness around now (although queasiness can return periodically throughout pregnancy). This week, your baby's face looks much more human. Her eyes have moved closer together and her ears are just about where they should be. Your baby has entered what is known as the fetal period, when tissues and organs rapidly grow and mature. Many women enjoy pregnancymuch more in this trimester - early symptoms fade and the risk of miscarriage drops dramatically. We hope this is the way it turns out for you, and we're here to support you through all the ups and downs of the weeks to come.

Pregnancy - 11 weeks.

11 Weeks Pregnant

Your fetus now looks like a baby, with tiny but fully formed fingers and toes. As his body grows and becomes more developed and functional, he'll start twisting and turning like an acrobat, cushioned and protected by your amniotic fluid. You, on the other hand, are probably feeling less like a gymnast every day. Leg cramps, which can sometimes be a sign of calcium deficiency, and heartburn (caused by pregnancy hormones that relax the valve which separates the oesophagus from the stomach) may be annoying you during the day and keeping you up at night. Just remember, all this suffering is temporary - and it's all in a good cause - you're having a baby!

Pregnancy - 10 weeks.

10 Weeks Pregnant

Your baby has tiny fingernails now and the ability to kick, swallow, and move. That's quite impressive for someone who's only the size of a lipstick case. That will change soon; within thenext few weeks, your featherweight child should double in size. You may notice your clothes getting tighter as your uterus is now almost big enough to fill your pelvis.

Pregnancy - 9 weeks.

9 Weeks Pregnant

If extreme mood swings leave you feeling like a drama queen this week, you're not alone. Hormonal fluctuations are treating your emotions like a yo-yo now. One minute you feel weepy and the next you're laughing harder than you've ever laughed before. Take comfort in knowing that those same volatile hormones are helping your baby grow. In fact, this week marks the first time your baby looks almost human. He has all the standard body parts in place now - though they're not yet formed to perfection.

Pregnancy - 8 weeks.

8 Weeks Pregnant

If you could see your baby this week you'd see that his fingers and toes are emerging, his eyelids practically cover his eyes and his embryonic tail is just about gone. Of course, it's still too early to tell whether you're having a boy or a girl because the telltale parts aren't visible yet, but go ahead and play the guessing game. Many mums-to-be say they have an inkling early on - and often they're right!

Pregnancy - 7 weeks.

7 Weeks Pregnant

Your uterus has doubled in size in just two months but you're unlikely to look pregnant yet, even though inside you may be on an emotional rollercoaster. If you could see your baby, you'd probably notice eyelids forming, the nubs where fingers and toes are beginning to grow, and a tiny heart beating beneath parchment-thin skin. This is a critical stage when many major organs are forming.

Pregnancy - 6 weeks.

6 Weeks Pregnant

This week, your baby's brain, muscles and bones are beginning to take shape. His hands and feet resemble little paddles and his tiny heart is beating — twice as fast as yours, in fact. Although you probably won't feel anything for nine or ten more weeks, he's about to make his very first movements.

Pregnancy - 5 weeks.

5 Weeks Pregnant

Your embryo (at this tiny stage, she's still not technically considered a baby or even a fetus yet) is enjoying her first huge growth spurt. Although she still resembles a tadpole more than anything else, she's sprouting tiny buds that eventually will become arms and legs. Already her vital organs, including the heart, kidneys, and liver, are in place and growing. That's one good reason to pay close attention to your diet. Calcium-rich foods help bones, heart, and muscles grow - milk, cheese and tofu are all good sources.

Pregnancy.

Hi friends. I am going to start a new topic from now on, Pregnancy. I will try to post about the pregnancy stages and conditions of every week. I hope you people will get good knowledge and information.
