Ranbir Kapoor’s friendliness angers Katrina Kaif!

Earlier it was Deepika Padukonewho hinted at that Ranbir Kapoorcouldn’t give her a sense of security when they were in relationship. Now it’s learnt that Ranbir’s supposed girlfriendKatrina Kaif too is feeling insecure.

Kat is apparently angry with Ranbir and the reason is his growing friendship with his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri, a sexy ramp model. When Kat came to know that Ranbir is spending time with Nargis even on the days when both are not shooting, she reportedly started gnashing her teeth. The couple also had a fight over the issue and has stopped talking to each other. Kat wants an answer, but for Ranbir it’s just friendship with a new co-star.

However, there is something else that has crossed our minds. Ranbir earlier dated Deepika, who had a successful stint modeling for Kingfisher’s annual superhot calendar; now Kat is allegedly in his life and she has also shot for Kingfisher calendar. Incidentally, Nargis, too, is a Kingfisher gal and was in the 2009 calendar.

So, can we say Ranbir is high on good times!

Saif and Kareena's wedding plans

All are setting their eyes on Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s marriage but the couple is too busy to get married now. Kareena Kapoor divulged that she and Saif might get hitched after a year.

She went on to say “wedding will happen, but after a year”. Talking about marriage plans, Kareena Said, “Of course, I talk to Saif and my family. Saif is extremely supporting and he jokes that marriage is a taboo in our film industry. Surely, there are norms that we can break but the fact is that the film fraternity considers a married actress a taboo.”

Kareena added that she and Saif discuss marriage and she thinks about it very often. Kareena said, “Saif is so busy with his production and his films, so a wedding will happen but after a year maybe. Yes, probably the year when the world is supposed to end. But yes, I won’t deny the fact that I think about it.”

Well, it seems that very soon the wedding bells will be ringing for Saif-Bebo.

Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif to travel in train

Farah has come up with a unique idea to launch the music of her third film Tees Maar Khan.

We can understand Farah Khan’s love for means of transportation. She had shown Shahrukh Khan doing stunts pedaling a rickshaw in Main Hoon Na; she made Malaika Arora and SRK to dance on a train top for the song Chaiyan Chaiyan (as choreographer) and then for the Om Shanti Om concluding song she chose an autorickshaw for herself to appear on big screen during credit roll.

Now, the director along with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and crew members of Tees Maar Khan will travel in a train from Mumbai to Lonavala to launch the film’s music on Sunday, November 14. Since Tees Maar Khan has a train heist, the director preferred to do it on a train. Farah likes to try out something different.

What Akshay has to say about this?

“I am really looking forward to the train journey to Khandala. I will be taking on a train journey after a long time - more than 20 years,” the star was quoted as saying by a tabloid.

So, getting a train just for the music launch, it must have cost a bomb! Yes, it’s expensive. Farah also has to wait to get permission from the Indian Railway. The whole train will be decorated by the posters of the film.

On the whole, it’s going to be full on fun for the travelers; the media will also join in!

Why Farah Khan chose Akshay Kumar over Shahrukh Khan?

With Tees Maar Khan, what once seemed impossible has happened. Farah Khan ditched her favourite star Shahrukh Khan and chose Akshay Kumar to play the lovable conman. What prompted her decision? Read on...

There was a time when Farah Khan said that she can’t imagine working without Shahrukh Khan, with whom she directed two films Main Hoon Naand Om Shanti Om. Then what was the reason she shifted her loyalty?

“I did say things in that regard and in all honesty, I meant them genuinely as well. However, things changed, circumstances changed and a lot of other things happened that made me go for Akshay,” Farah is quoted as telling a news agency.

Rumour has it that Farah had a fall out with SRK due to reasons that have not come to light yet. While Farah hasn’t given legitimacy to the rumours, she is, however, not comfortable talking about SRK.

“Even now, people ask me whether I would be working with Shahrukh again. However, I have learnt to keep my mouth shut. 'Never say never' is the right adage to be used. You never know how circumstances may change tomorrow,” the otherwise straightforward Farah gives a diplomatic reply.

Meanwhile, Farah says her experience of working with Akshay has been superb and she’s promising a cinematic treat to the movie buffs when Tees Maar Khan releases during Christmas weekend this year.

Salman demands Rs 2.5 cr per episode for ‘Dus Ka Dum’

Salman Khan acts pricey. He demands a whopping amount of Rs. 2.5 crore per episode for ‘Dus Ka Dum’. His return proved very heavy for the producer of ‘Dus Ka Dum’. Salman has demanded almost 51 percent more than what he was paid in the past season of ‘Dus Ka Dum’.

Confirming the news a source said, “Salman was being paid approximately Rs 1.65 crore per episode then.” In fact, Salman has left behind Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan in respect of money for hosting a show.

Salman is asking money which is considerably much more than ‘Bigg Boss’. Salman is being paid about Rs 2 crore per episode for Bigg Boss 4 which includes public appearances and a lot of other things.

Aamir Khan overwhelmed after dining with President Obama

It was a matter of great honour for Aamir Khan who was especially invited by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for a private dinner with the visiting US President Barack Obama, and when Aamir heard that the President knows about him and his films, he was overwhelmed.

While talking to the press about his meet-and-dine experience with the President, Aamir says, “President Obama said he has heard a lot about my work and my films.” Aamir was also thankful to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who invited him to the dinner party. It was a big occasion for the Khan where he got to meet some of the biggest personalities. Not only this, the First Lady Michelle Obama told Aamir that she has danced to the song of his film Rang De Basanti.

What Aamir chose to wear for the dinner? The simple man was dapperly dressed in an off-white kurta pyjama. From Bollywood, veteran actress and social activist Shabana Azmi, lyricist Javed Akhtar, and also Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman were invited.

The dinner was held at PM’s house in Delhi.

DIWALI DHAMAKA

Diwali excitement is at its peak and vying for your eyeballs this Friday are two big releases - the multi starrer Golmaal 3 with Ajay and Kareena; and Akshay and Aishwarya's Action Replayy.

True to festive spirit, both films promise entertainment galore. If Golmaal 3 is an out-and-out comedy with a motley bunch of oddball characters, Action Replayy is a rom-com that takes us back to the 1960s.

Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor helm the Rohit Shetty-directed caper, whileAkshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai play two unlikely lovers whose match is being fixed by none other than their son from the future.

Akshay’s goofiness or Ajay’s gumption, Ash’s flair or Bebo’s flamboyance, there’s enough fun to be had from both the films. But which one to choose? We help you decide.

After Kylie, Ludacris joins Akshay in Bollywood

After shaking a leg with singer Kylie Minogue and rapping with Snoop Dogg, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to collaborate with rapper Ludacris, Indian media reported.

The actor has signed the rapper, real name Christopher Brian Bridges, to his Indo-Canadian venture "Breakaway".

"It's very exciting to collaborate with Ludacris for the music video of 'Breakaway'. It's great to have the opportunity to work with such great artists from across the globe. Ludacris is going to make the music video one to watch out for," Akshay said in a statement.

The film to be directed by Robert Lieberman is a cross-cultural hockey drama set in the Indo-Canadian community of suburban Toronto, Canada. Other than Akshay, Anupam Kher, Vinay Virmani, Russell Peters, Rob Lowe and Camilla Belle are said to feature in the film.

Shahrukh Khan craze catches up in China

From Berlin to Beijing, the world’s certainly becoming a smaller place for Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan.

Presently shooting Farhan Akhtar’s film Don 2 in Berlin, Shahrukh will now head to Beijing in China for the premiere of his film My Name Is Khan that had the worldwide release earlier this year.

China has a very strict policy toward foreign films. Every year, just 20 foreign films get released in the country. This year, My Name Is Khan has the honour of being one of them. It’s also the first Hindi film to release in China in the last three decades. So the honour is all the more special.

Reports say the film will be premiered in Beijing on November 30. DirectorKaran Johar and Shahrukh Khan are most certain to visit, but it’s unsure ifKajol, the film’s female lead, would join them.

We also hear that Karan Johar will himself design SRK’s costume which will be a mix of Indian and Chinese style.

Deepika signed for ‘Race 2′

Bollywood beauty and sexy actress Deepika Padukone is the girl to watch out for in 2011. She is fast leaving the other Bollywood beauties behind in the race for super stardom.

Ramesh Taurani producer of Race 2 has confirmed that Deepika will be in the main lead opposite Saif in Race 2. Guess Priyanka Chopra has lost out on this one too.

Now there is scope for PC to try and get back into this film if she wants because there’s a role for a second girl. However Sonakshi Sinha is also waiting in queue.

Katrina: From Barbie to Radha

Katrina Kaif
Till yesterday, she was a Barbie girl, in her Barbie world. And yes, life in plastic is fantastic. But now, Katrina Kaif is all set for a rather interesting makeover. She will play a cameo as Radha in a film on the life of Lord Krishna.

Though Kat did dress up like a mythological figure in the song Main bararish kar doon paise ki in the film De Dana Dan, playing Radha will be an entirely new experience for the actress.

The film called Main Krishna Hoon will be on the life of Lord Krishna, starting from his childhood Leelas (pranks) up to adulthood. The film is being directed by Rajiv S Ruia of My Friend Ganesha fame.

Not revealing much about the plot, Katrina says, "Let it be a secret. But yes, I am doing this film on the life of Lord Krishna because my hairstylist Promila Hunter is producing the film. When she asked me if I would make an appearance I didn't even ask her what my role was. Only later did I get to know that it is a film on the life of Lord Krishna."

Though she makes a guest appearance, Katrina who is currently in Patiala shooting for a Yash Raj film, is busy preparing for it. She is using all her free time to read up on the life of Lord Krishna.

Says the actress, "It always helps to know about areas of culture that you haven't visited. A role could just be an excuse to brush up your knowledge of life outside the entertainment industry."

Wonder who's playing Krishna.

Salman Khan says ‘thank you’ to Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar has loosened his purse strings by donating a substantial amount of money to the ‘Being Human’ charity run by Salman Khan.

Akshay and Salman were recently seen bonding on the sets of Tees Maar Khan and now the friendship between them has only got thicker. Akshay has donated a whopping amount of Rs. 50 lakh to ‘Being Human’, evoking a gesture of gratitude from Salman.

“Yeah !!! Akshay Kumar has donated 50 lakhs to Being Human, our charitable trust. Thank you Akki . I think everybody should tweet and thank him,” Salman wrote on his Twitter page.

The buzz is that Akshay will donate more money to ‘Being Human’ before the year ends.

Earlier this month, a lot of actresses from Bollywood walked the ramp for Salman’s ‘Being Human’ fashion show during the HDIL Couture Week.

When it comes to charity, the film stars sure do show alacrity.

Vivek Oberoi pens poetry

Vivek Oberoi shayar toh nahin. But ever since he fell in love with his fiancée and wife-to-soon-be Priyanka Alva, Vivek ko shayari aa gayi.

See, what love does to a person. Vivek Oberoi, who’s seen playing the angry young man more often than not on the silver screen, has been penning poetry for Priyanka, whom he will marry on October 29.

Vivek has written a poem for Priyanka which goes: “In a world of only two people who are each other's world...”

In fact, when Vivek talks about Priyanka, the words that come from his mouth are poetic, to say the least.

Sample this.

“Every day with her (Priyanka) is a blessing. In a world full of storms, she's my anchor. I live in a world of masks. I needed someone as real as she is. She is my home. She's the one I can come home to. She has changed my life,” Vivek says.

Wah! Vivek.

Shahrukh Khan mania takes over Berlin as he films for Don 2

The King Khan of Bollywood has begun filming for his latest action-thriller Don 2 in Berlin. Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Duttaand Farhan Akhtar are in Germany for the filming of the movie and they are in love with Berlin.

Shahrukh has quite a following in Germany, to add to that his fans have descended on the town of Berlin, to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, prompting Shahrukh to joke, "You will have problems getting rid of all the Indians again."

Billed as an Indo-Germain production Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg is financially supporting Don 2, and Shahrukh hopes that Don 2 will begin a new love affair between Bollywood and Berlin, and encourage millions of Indians to visit the beautiful city.

In the movie, Shahrukh Khan’s character, the elusive don, will be wanted by the police of 132 countries, against the 11 countries in the first film. The sequel retains its original cast of Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, and includes some new names like Lara Dutta, Sameera Reddy and Kunal Kapoor.

'Don 2' will have deadlier stunts and chases than 'Don', featuring famous Berlin landmarks, including the great Cathedral, and a car chase through the streets of Berlin around Checkpoint Charley. After filming a scene at a building near Berlin’s TV tower, Shahrukh had tweeted, "Just did an over 300 feet base jump for Don... because you all make me believe I can fly,"

The film will release in 2011.

Vivek Oberoi’s acting in 'Rakta Charitra' scares wife-to-be

Vivek Oberoi is all set to wed on October 29 and in the run-up to the great day ahead, he had the time to show his latest film Rakta Charitra to the wife-to-be Priyanka Alva.

And what exactly was her reaction after seeing Vivek slice throats with sickle and gun down people without as much as a flinch?

“Yes, I have shown the film to her. She took a deep breath, looked at me and said, ‘You are brilliant.’ Then she took another deep breath and remarked, ‘I hope I never see you this angry in real life’,” Oberoi is quoted as saying in an interview.

Meanwhile, Vivek revealed that he and his fiancée have already started planning their home together.

Shahrukh Khan celebrates his 20th wedding anniversary today

Today is Shahrukh Khan’s 20th wedding anniversary, but the star will celebrate it all by himself.

SRK married his longtime girlfriend Gauri Chibber on 25 October 1991 when none of his movies were released. But on the completion of two decades of married life today, SRK is busy shooting in Berlin, Germany, for his film Don 2 and his dear wifey is in Mumbai. After all, work is work.

Nevertheless, Gauri will make her 20th anniversary special by celebrating it later on November 2 that is also SRK’s birthday. As a source tells a daily, Gauri and kids will join SRK in Italy where he will attend the screening of My Name Is Khan at a film festival. Friend and family Karan Johar is supposed to be there. So, the party will supposedly be big.

Gauri is also famous for throwing lavish parties in the industry, and how can the lady let such an important occasion go by.

Wishing Shahrukh and Gauri a very happy 20th anniversary!

Box office update

Three films releasing on the same day are most likely to eat into each other’s business. But there’s not much to bite into, if the reports of the opening day collections are to go by.

Rakta Charitra, Ram Gopal Varma’s most violent film to date, had an excellent start in Andhra Pradesh. The film’s Telugu version is running to house-full shows, and the reason could be that the film is based on the story of the bloody rise to power of the Andhra politico Paritala Ravi, played by Vivek Oberoi in the film. In the north, however, Rakta Charitra (Hindi) got a below average response from cine buffs, with mere 25 to 30 percent occupancy in theatres.

In comparison, Jhootha Hi Sahi, starring John Abraham and Pakhi, had a better start with about 35 to 40 percent occupancy, but the mixed reviews it has got from critics isn’t going to help it pick up much in the days ahead.

On the other hand, Mallika Sherawat’s Hisss, which has been unanimously panned by every critic, had a good start at single screen theatres. But the bad reviews and negative word of mouth might slow its run at box office.

Both Jhootha Hi Sahi and Hisss have got a poor start at the UK box office.

Which of the three films will sail and which will sink at box office will be clearer by Monday.

My wedding would be grand: Vivek Oberoi

October 29 is the day when actor Vivek Oberoi will tie the knot with the Bangalore girl Priyanka Alva. He says his wedding would be a grand affair.

“The wedding will be grand but a very private affair followed by a reception in Mumbai with family and friends attending,” Vivek told a news agency.

However, the groom-to-be has not even started doing shopping for his wedding.

“I am so preoccupied with Rakta Charitra that I did not do any shopping for my marriage. Now my family is taking care of that. I will soon be a married man but the feeling is yet to sink in,” Vivek added.

Incidentally, Vivek is so tied up with the promotion of the film, that he’ll also postpone his honeymoon. And when he explained his reasons for doing so to Priyanka, she did not complain.

“Priyanka has been very understanding and supportive. It is very unusual for a bride to be this practical and understanding about my career. She is really a lovely girl and means a lot to me. I thank Karnataka for giving me their most beautiful daughter,” Vivek said.

Incidentally, when Vivek visited Bangalore to promote the film, he was referred to as Karnataka ka damaad.

Kaun Banega Crorepati doing better than ‘Bigg Boss’

In the year 2000 when Kaun Banega Crorepati started with Amitabh Bachchan as its host, it changed the way Indian audience watched television. The show was a huge hit and, now after ten years, its fourth season has proved that no other reality show is like it. The ‘KBC 4’ viewership figures are quite high than the Salman Khan-hosted ‘Bigg Boss 4’ and Akshay Kumar’s Master Chef.

Going by the opening, the first day of KBC 4 topped the list of best opening shows with 6.2 TVRs (television viewership ratings). Earlier, the record of best opening was with Khatron Ke Khiladi 3 which had Priyanka Chopra as the host. If Bigg Boss 4 had an opening of 4.8 TVRs, the Akshay Kumar showMaster Chef on Star Plus managed only 2.6 rating. Channel Sony Entertainment which owns KBC 4 claims that their show has got the most successful launch in recent times on Indian television.

There is no doubt that the audience loves every moment of KBC 4. The towering baritone of Amitabh Bachchan, his eloquence, and his unique style of presentation ensure a better quality Indian television in comparison to the otherwise low-grade reality shows which are rampant nowadays, and one such show is Rakhi Sawant’s Rakhi Ka Insaaf which was pitted against Akshay’s Master Chef.

As a tabloid reports, every third Indian likes to watch KBC during prime time, with the show carrying a 32 per cent reach in the four episodes of its first week run. The show’s first week average of 5.3 TVRs is also the highest for any non-fiction show recorded over the last year.
